On July 20 Rostov municipal duma has made the decision on appointment of elections of deputies of Rostov-on-Don municipal duma of the fifth convocation. Elections will be held on October 10, 2010.
During the period till July 23 35 district election commissions will be generated. Formation of local election commissions will take place from September 9 till September 11, 2010.
Promotion of candidates will begin on August 7 and will last till August 27. Candidates have the right to conduct elective propaganda from the moment of promotion of the nominee. Propaganda in mass-media will begin on September 11 and will come to the end on October 8 at midnight. October 9th will be the day of silence during which propaganda will not be conducted.
On elections it is planned to use a number of technical novelties: complexes of processing of ballots (CPOB), web cameras on a number of polling districts, and control over movement of bulletins will be made by means of GLONASS.
